Polly Pushes PPE Setup Into The Pre-Contract Stage
The mortgage technology provider says AI-assisted configuration can get prospective customers much of the way through setup before they sign
Switching a mortgage lender's pricing engine isn't exactly a plug-and-play exercise.
Polly says it has found a way to move much of that work earlier in the process — before a lender has even signed a contract.
The mortgage technology provider announced Tuesday that it has revamped implementation of its product, pricing, and eligibility (PPE) engine, using artificial intelligence to automate portions of the setup and configuration process.
Under a new program called Polly Jumpstart, the company says prospective customers can be roughly 80% through the initial platform setup before signing an agreement. Once a contract is executed, Polly says it can take a lender to a verified, production-ready environment within four to six weeks.
Rather than waiting for a signed contract to begin configuring the platform, Jumpstart allows some of that work to take place during the sales process. Polly says the first formal implementation meeting can therefore begin with a working prototype rather than a planning session.
The company says artificial intelligence handles configuration work in parallel, while its implementation staff focuses on lender strategy, unusual scenarios, and change management.
Polly laid out a fairly specific timeline for the process. It says its AI can generate a framework of scenarios by lending channel by Day 11 and that the platform can be validated against predetermined criteria and turned over to the lender for production by Day 24.
AI Moves Deeper Into Pricing
The implementation overhaul is part of a broader expansion of AI across Polly's capital markets platform.
Polly's PPE is used to configure mortgage products, pricing and eligibility, and to manage pricing and lock workflows. The company has also previously introduced an AI-powered loan officer tool designed to examine loans that narrowly miss eligibility requirements and identify possible alternatives.
For originators, the technology largely sits behind the rate sheet. A lender's PPE determines which products an LO can offer a particular borrower, the pricing available on those products, and whether the borrower meets the applicable eligibility requirements.
Polly's latest move applies AI one step further behind the scenes — to configuring and deploying the system itself.
The company also said its AI framework has received patent protection from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Polly says it will introduce additional AI capabilities in the coming weeks.
"Agentic AI is the most consequential shift our industry has seen," Polly founder and CEO Adam Carmel said in announcing the expansion.
