Apr 18, 2012

Blueberry Systems LLC has announced the additions of Kevin Grey as its new lead implementation specialist and Sara Shappell as its lead sales support specialist, adding a combined 24 years of mortgage and banking experience to the company. With 14 years of experience, Grey previously served as a principal consultant with Mortgage Cadence, where he provided professional consulting services to mortgage industry clients and established the company’s first wealth management client and channel of business. Grey was also vice president of production for LenderLive Network Inc., where he led and managed implementations that resulted in instrumental growth for the multiple loan and retail production channels and departments. “Having worked with numerous lenders over the years in a consultative role, I am eager to work with a firm founded and run by former mortgage lenders,” said Grey. “Blueberry Systems is a true innovator in technology solutions. I am really looking forward to being included in their future success.” As Blueberry’s lead sales support specialist, Shappell brings a diverse portfolio of mortgage experience, starting her 12-year career at First Magnus Financial before working as a branch manager with Citizens Bank. She later oversaw accounts at both Vertice Lending and Walker Jackson Mortgage Corporation. Most recently, she served as a mortgage loan coordinator with GMAC. “Blueberry Systems is a small and tightly-focused group of people that seek to add real and demonstrable value to its customers,” said Shappell. “I’m thrilled to be part of such a game changer in the mortgage technology industry and I’m excited about our future.”
