Blueberry Systems Adds Kristi Watson and Rick Schmitz to Its Executive Team

Blueberry Systems LLC has announced the appointments of Kristi Watson as its vice president of Project Management Office (PMO) and Rick Schmitz as its vice president of technology. Watson has more than 14 years of proven experience and previously served as product services lead at Comprehensive Software Systems (CSS), a provider of full enterprise and point solution offerings for the financial services industry. At CSS, Watson held prior positions including: product services lead, PMO lead and director of Software Engineering, and before CSS, she was senior manager of Project Management at Charles Schwab & Co. Watson earned an MBA from the University of Wyoming and also holds a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
“After spending many years in the technology and financial services industries, joining Blueberry Systems was the logical next step in my career,” said Watson. “The company is at the forefront of mortgage technology and I am excited for the opportunity and the challenge.”
With more than 15 years of experience, Schmitz is Blueberry Systems’ new vice president of technology. Prior to joining the company, he served as IT manager and software development manager for Aurora Bank FSB. He has additional prior experiences as a software engineer at CSS and a consultant for Orion Consulting. Schmitz holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Minnesota State University.
