NAMMBA is a purpose-driven organization that is dedicated to the inclusion of minorities and women in the mortgage industry who are advocates for sustainable homeownership in local communities. The mission of the association is to increase the engagement of women and minorities in the mortgage industry by actively being involved with local, state and national Mortgage Banker Associations.
In an edition of NMP's Getting To Know, the publication sat down with Thompson who said he just happened to fall into the mortgage industry. He was originally working in the human resources industry, but then became a loan originator for Bank of America and worked his way up to regional manager. Thompson currently works as the VP for growth and strategy at Silverton Mortgage Specialist Inc. and held previous positions with Guaranteed Rate and PNC Mortgage.
