Top Producer Adam West Moves $61.6 Million Team To GoRascal
West and 13 team members join the independent brokerage after closing 122 loans through Sept. 30
Adam West, a team lead who closed $61.6 million in volume across 122 units through Sept. 30, has joined independent mortgage brokerage GoRascal with a processor and 12 loan officers. West closed $86 million across 176 units in 2025, according to production figures he provided to NMP.
His 2026 numbers put him on pace to pass last year’s total, with an average loan size of about $505,000 compared with roughly $489,000 in 2025.
Why GoRascal
“Every loan officer reaches a point where they have to decide what they’re building and who they’re building it for,” West said. “For the team and me, the answer came down to alignment. The longer I’m in this industry, the more I’ve learned that who you work with matters as much as what you’re offered.”
West said GoRascal’s leadership has “built a company that is rooted in transparency and integrity, with a model that’s simple and easy to operate in. It is truly rare, and it’s exactly what we were looking for.”
The move reflects a broader pattern in the growing broker channel. Some producers open their own shops, while team leads like West find the easier path to scale is joining an established platform.
What The Platform Offers
GoRascal gives loan officers access to more than 100 lenders, including about 30 core partners through its corporate processing arm, with United Wholesale Mortgage and PennyMac among its largest, GoRascal Vice President of Operations Lexie Liston said.
The company operates in all 50 states and charges loan officers a flat corporate fee per loan. Additional services, such as corporate processing or a loan officer assistant, are optional.
The company recently expanded its non-delegated business and plans to add South Carolina and Georgia, Liston said.
“Top producers want the freedom and economics of an independent brokerage, but they also need the infrastructure, technology, and operational support to actually scale,” said Scott Valins, CEO and co-founder of GoRascal. “We’ve built GoRascal to give loan officers both.”
West’s Team
Joining West are processor Hannah Wood and loan officers Dalton Facer, Angie Clayson, Brie Sumsion, Josh Clayson, Kevin Flint, Nicholas Thompson, Parker Strong, Eric Peck, Troy Fjerkenstad, Nicole Wise, Tara Stewart, and Scott Millich. At least one producer on the team is already recruiting loan officers into his own group, Liston said.
The Bottom Line For Originators
Team leads producing at West’s level have more options than staying retail or building a brokerage from scratch. Platforms that handle compliance, lender approvals, and operations let a producer keep broker-channel economics while growing a team.
