ClosingCorp has added Natural Disaster Alerts to its SmartFees service

ClosingCorp has announced that ValuAmerica, a national provider of appraisal, title, closing and settlement services, is integrating SmartCalc, ClosingCorp’s customizable closing costs calculator, on its Web site to provide greater transparency for its lender and Realtor clients.

“ValuAmerica is committed to helping our clients accurately estimate the fees and taxes that go into mortgage transactions and to make this information easy to access and consume,” said Shawn Murphy, executive vice president of ValuAmerica.

“ClosingCorp’s SmartCalc will automate this process and make it available 24/7 to our clients nationwide.”

Using SmartCalc, ValuAmerica will be able to provide accurate, instant online quotes, including actual title and settlement rates and fees, transfer taxes and recording fees on a 24/7 basis. Lenders will be able to access accurate settlement services information for loan estimate and closing cost documents. Real estate agents will also have a new tool to help them provide their sellers with the information they need to understand the potential proceeds from the sale of their property including a breakdown of buyer and seller fees. SmartCalc’s personalized Seller Net Sheet shows the title, settlement services, transfer tax, recording fees and commission associated with the closing process.

“We designed SmartCalc for leading edge title companies, like ValuAmerica, that are committed to accuracy and expediting the origination and closing process,” said Gerardo Caceres, senior vice president of Data Operations & Product Management for ClosingCorp. “SmartCalc will enable clients and advisors, such as Realtors, lawyers and accountants, to find the information they need to keep their borrowers and sellers fully apprised of closing costs throughout the homebuying/sales process.”
