Bay Capital Adds LiteSpeed To Its Pitch For Producing LOs
The mortgage banker’s new point-of-sale deployment fits a broader recruiting message built around operational support, technology, and more time to develop business
Bay Capital Mortgage Corporation has deployed LenderLogix’s LiteSpeed point-of-sale platform, adding borrower applications, document management, electronic signatures, and other origination tools to a technology offering it markets to prospective loan officers.
The Annapolis, Maryland-based mortgage banker announced the deployment Oct. 19. LiteSpeed integrates with Encompass and allows borrowers to apply, upload documents, and complete tasks through a mobile-friendly interface.
For Bay Capital, the rollout fits a broader pitch to originators: technology and operational support that help them spend more time building business.
“At Bay Capital, we don’t believe in adding technology just to say we have more technology,” said Tim Gough, the company’s CEO. “We want tools that actually make it easier for our loan officers to do business and create a better experience for their customers. LiteSpeed does that.”
Technology In The Recruiting Pitch
Bay Capital’s recruiting website targets LOs producing $10 million to $35 million, promoting technology alongside coaching, pricing, and operational support. The site lists LenderLogix among its tools and contrasts the company’s offering with what it describes as technology that creates additional work at larger lenders.
“Loan officers shouldn’t spend their day fighting technology,” said Nick Thomas, Bay Capital’s president and chief production officer. “Technology should remove friction, save time, and help them have more conversations with customers and referral partners. That’s the standard we’re trying to build around.”
The platform includes preapproval letter generation, upfront fee collection, electronic signatures, and AI-assisted workflow tools.
Connecting More Of The Work
Some of LiteSpeed’s functionality builds on previously announced capabilities. NMP reported in December on its native electronic signature feature, which lets loan teams send documents from Encompass and automatically return completed documents to the loan file.
The deployment also follows other efforts to bring more origination work into a single workspace. Earlier this month, nCino introduced an LO productivity suite combining program eligibility checks, underwriting follow-up, and preapproval automation within its mortgage point of sale.
