Proper Rate Aided In Providing More Than 59K Meals For Children In Need

Proper Rate, a mortgage origination joint venture between Guaranteed Rate and @properties, joined forces with Feed My Starving Children to pack more than 59,000 meals through a company-wide charity initiative.

More than 50 Proper Rate employees attended the event, which took place on Nov. 17 in Schaumburg, Ill. Volunteers hand-packed nutritionally complete meals that will be shipped internationally and will provide more than 150 children with daily meals for an entire year.

“I am so proud of the Proper Rate employees who came to support Feed My Starving Children,” said Dan Moran, Proper Rate's executive vice president. “Giving back is at the core of what Proper Rate stands for, and our team members showed that with their commitment to volunteering during this incredible event.”

“With more than 50 volunteers across three food-packing sessions, the Proper Rate team brought great enthusiasm and speed to the packing sessions,” said FMSC Schaumberg site manager John Schmelzel. “Feed My Starving Children cannot achieve its mission without such amazing volunteers.”

This initiative connects directly to the company’s #1 Core Value, “We Grow for Good,” and is designed to enhance the company’s positive impact on its customers, referral partners, employees, and the communities it serves.
