Strong Finish,
Bold Beginning

2025 tested our resolve.
2026 will define our direction.

As we close out 2025 here at Mortgage Women Magazine, I find myself pausing to reflect — and to peer ahead. The rate environment has shifted: mortgage rates are lower than we’ve seen in recent quarters, offering a bit more breathing room for homeowners and those looking to enter the market. But let’s be honest “stable” isn’t quite the word I’d use. Volatility still looms large. Economic indicators, inflation pressures, and policy adjustments make the future uncertain and yes, that uncertainty might be the only thing we can say we’re certain about.

This time of year always brings out that reflective impulse. What did we accomplish in 2025? What did we learn about the market, about ourselves? And perhaps most importantly: what do we intend to conquer in 2026? The shifting terrain of the mortgage world doesn’t make these questions easier, but they make them more necessary.

In this final issue of the year, we’re extremely proud to spotlight eight companies who have been chosen as top employers for women. These are organizations that do more than meet the baseline; they actively support, uplift, and empower women in the mortgage industry. That work aligns directly with the mission of the Mortgage Women Leadership Council: to champion leadership, growth, inclusion, and opportunity for women at every level.

I encourage you, our readers, to read these features closely. Look for ideas and practices that resonate. Think about what might be adapted in your own workplace or team. Whether it’s mentorship programs, flexible policies, inclusive leadership styles, or new ways to amplify women’s voices, these companies show that it’s not just possible to do better, it’s already being done.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us. In the coming year, let’s commit not only to weathering change, but to shaping it. Let’s take what inspires us here, push past uncertainty, and turn vision into action.

Here’s to a strong finish for 2025, and an even stronger beginning for what’s next.
