UWM Secures Deal With USPBL

United Wholesale Mortgage has secured a 10-year naming rights deal with the USPBL, rebranding the league’s Utica stadium as UWM Field and expanding its community and sports partnership

United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) and the United Shore Professional Baseball League (USPBL) have entered into a naming rights partnership that will see the league’s home ballpark in Utica, Michigan, rebranded as UWM Field under a 10-year agreement. The announcement expands the existing relationship between the Pontiac, Michigan-based mortgage lender and the independent minor-league baseball organization.

JimmyJohn’s Field, the 4,500-seat stadium that hosts the USPBL’s four teams, will now carry the UWM name, reflecting continued commitment from UWM to community engagement and regional sports support. The league itself will be titled USPBL Powered by Mortgage Matchup, signaling an elevated integration of UWM’s broker-focused brand, MortgageMatchup.com, into the partnership.

The collaboration follows UWM’s broader strategy of brand visibility in sports, including a 10-year naming rights partnership for the Phoenix arena hosting the NBA’s Suns and WNBA’s Mercury, now known as the Mortgage Matchup Center.

“As we celebrate UWM’s milestone 40th anniversary in 2026, we are thrilled to deepen our roots in the community through this expanded partnership,” said Sarah DeCiantis, chief marketing officer at UWM. “This change enhances local awareness of UWM as a top workplace in Metro Detroit and provides a fantastic opportunity through Mortgage Matchup to help consumers understand the value of having a local expert advising them.

Extending this partnership and bringing UWM to the field reinforces our long-term commitment to creating lasting impact while deepening our connection with fans and the community.”

In honor of its 40th year in business, UWM has announced a special pricing incentive for its mortgage broker partners. Under the plan, mortgage brokers can receive 40 basis points on all new locks through February 27, an incentive available on all eligible conventional and government loans. UWM announced that mortgage brokers can also combine this offering with up to 40 Control Your Price basis points to provide borrowers with even more savings.

USPBL officials underscored that the rebranding aligns with ambitions to boost local awareness and enhance fan experience. According to league leadership, the ballpark renaming amplifies UWM’s presence as a key partner and stabilizes long-term support for developmental professional baseball in the region.

“UWM has been an incredible partner since day one, and this next step represents an exciting evolution of that relationship,” said Andy Appleby, owner, CEO, and commissioner of the USPBL. “This announcement highlights a shared commitment to teamwork, connection, and community — values that are at the heart of both organizations. We’re proud to continue growing together in a way that supports our players, fans and local community.”
