Cardinal Financial Launches Octane

Cardinal Financial announces a new program that allows brokers to originate loans in their own name while leveraging Octane for underwriting, pricing, and streamlined operations

Cardinal Financial Third-Party Origination has officially launched its Non-Delegated Correspondent program, aimed at helping independent mortgage lenders scale with transparency, speed, and control. The program enables approved Non-Delegated Correspondents to originate loans in their own name while leveraging Cardinal Financial’s proprietary loan technology, Octane, which handles underwriting, pricing, and other operational tasks.

“In a competitive market, lenders need to focus on reliability and efficiency,” said Karl Benjamin, EVP of TPO at Cardinal Financial. “Our Non-Delegated Correspondent Program was designed with broker input to deliver stronger processing support, clearer visibility, and faster automation, giving our partners a strategic advantage.”

The program builds on a year of growth within Cardinal Financial’s TPO division, which has rolled out several initiatives to expand opportunity and flexibility for brokers. These include Cardinal Complete, a full-service loan processing solution designed to streamline workflows and enhance profitability, and a suite of Non-QM products, providing flexible options for clients with non-traditional income sources.

Together with these offerings, the Non-Delegated Correspondent program reflects Cardinal Financial’s commitment to empowering partners with smarter technology, broader product access, and a more seamless path to growth. Through Octane, Cardinal Financial combines automation with expert oversight to simplify the lending process, delivering real-time approvals, accurate numbers, and faster closings across all 50 states.
